I totally agree with what you said. When I was a student learning about recording engineering and producing and basic music business, I did not aspire to be a huge studio head, a famous record producer, or known agent. I wanted to gain the recording knowledge to pursue writing songs and being able to have DIY demos. The music business education was a benefit because I gained a lot of knowledge on Label hierarchy, PRO's, MRO's and basically how things work. In some sense.

I also learned that these things don't come easy.

You have to work hard and take all trusted advice you can.
